Bye-Bye TELEMARKETERS

Tired of telemarketers? Who isn’t?!!
Ok. If you receive a phone call from 876-574-1053, don’t answer! I have been getting all kinds of calls from this number this week. They are a FRAUDULENT company that claims they have a “check” for you. Sounds great, right? BUT… the check is for more than they intended to send, and you have to reimburse the difference. In situations like this I use a reliable background check service to do a reverse phone look up and report it! No more calls!!
Please be aware that there are all kinds of calls like this. A new warranty on your automobile. A confirmation request for your grant application. I mean, what?! Who?! Find out who they are and report them!
Do Not Call Me! EVER AGAIN!
Another thing you can do is sign up for a no-call list (a real one). The service costs a few bucks and will get you off those lists in no time. Plus it’s really two services in one: no more telemarketing calls AND no more junk mail!
After we had our baby I received so much annoying stuff in the mail: ads and coupons galore for baby formula, diapers, and piles and piles of promotional materials AND calls. Make sure that if you sign up on any registry–baby, wedding, or otherwise–that you let them know up front in WRITING you don’t want to receive promotional materials.
Well that’s it for now. Questions or comments?

I use a do not call registry from the FTC. It’s free and it works and has the option of reporting telemarketers that do not honor it and they are subject to a large fine such as the one Direct TV got. Call 1-888-382-1222.
