Thousands More Criminals Near You

Due to the currently dwindling economy, the government finds the best decision to help correct this problem is to release prisoners early from their original sentences in order to decrease the costs of keeping them.  This is currently happening in many states and the trend is catching on fast.  Thousands have been released, and there is currently a decision waiting to be made in the case of Filemon Arreola, who is now 31.  In Oregon in 2007, he was sentenced to prison until November 2022 for charges of counts of rape, assault, coercion and tampering with a witness.  This is pretty serious, but apparently the decrease in spending to keep this guy from brutally raping and abusing his former girlfriend until her body was covered with bruises and welts and throwing her out of a moving car is worth it.  This is just crazy, and so now is a time more important than ever to keep up with registered sex offenders, criminal background checks, and so on.

They are letting out prisoners by the thousands at an attempt to save money, which is just one of the most terrible things I have ever heard.  Have they accounted of the additional court costs, medical costs, funeral costs, psychiatric costs, and the much hardship, worrying and abuse this will bring upon the nation instead?  One thing the government should not cut budgets on is our protection, while throwing billions of dollars at failing car and loan companies instead.  Cars?!  No, things are not going right.  Speak out against these terrible decisions, and in the meantime keep up with who is released.  Check out the people around you, and stay safe!
